How it works

What goes into your new pool surface

We don't strip your pool out. We prepare the existing surface, then build a new seamless fibreglass shell that bonds to it. Scroll through the layers.

Drain, brace and protect

We drain the pool, brace it if needed and tarp it to keep out sun and weather. Your existing concrete, fibreglass or vinyl-lined pool stays in place as the base.

Prepare the existing surface

We clean the surface and mechanically abrade it so the new layers have a sound profile to bond to. Cracks, voids and osmosis blisters are repaired at this stage.

Grind · wash · fill · repair

Lay the new fibreglass membrane

The whole pool is laminated with fibreglass matting wet out in high-performance vinylester resin. This is the structural layer: one seamless shell, with no joins for water or algae to get into.

225 g or 450 g chopped strand mat · vinylester resin

Apply the base coat

A vinylester base coat fills the fibreglass strand pattern and pre-colours the new surface. We then sand it back ready for the finish.

Finish coat and handover

A UV-stabilised gelcoat in your chosen colour gives a smooth, hard-wearing finish that is gentle on hands and feet. We clean up, check every surface and hand over your warranty paperwork.
