Resin and gelcoat option
A lighter, lower-cost refresh for newer pools in good condition. We'll tell you honestly at inspection whether your pool qualifies.
Bright blue finishHow it works
What's involved
We prepare the pool the same way as a full resurface. Then, instead of laminating fibreglass matting, we apply a layer of vinylester resin, a base filler coat and our standard gelcoat top coat.
Who it suits
- Pools less than 5 years old
- Pools in good condition, with no osmosis, cracking or worn-through gelcoat
- Owners who want a fresh finish on a smaller budget
Warranty
The resin and gelcoat system comes with a 3 year written warranty.
We strongly recommend the full fibreglass resurface wherever it suits the pool. The structural fibreglass layer means there's no chance of the new gelcoat peeling or being damaged in future, and it carries a 5 year written warranty.
Questions
Common questions
Which pools suit the resin and gelcoat system?
Pools in good condition that are less than 5 years old. We need to inspect the pool first to confirm.
What's the difference from a full resurface?
The resin and gelcoat system has no fibreglass matting layer. A full resurface adds a structural fibreglass membrane, which is why we strongly recommend it and why it carries a longer warranty.
What warranty does it come with?
A 3 year written warranty. A full fibreglass resurface comes with a 5 year written warranty.
