What's wrong with my pool?
Tell us what you're seeing. We'll explain the likely cause, how urgent it is and the right fix, in plain English.
What kind of pool do you have?
How to tell
- Fibreglass: the surface is smooth and glossy, with no joins. Tapping it sounds hard, not hollow. Corners and steps are rounded.
- Concrete: painted, or textured like fine pebbles or stone. There's often a band of tiles at the waterline.
- Vinyl liner: the surface feels soft and slightly flexible. Look under the coping for a plastic or metal track holding the liner.

What to do next
Book a free inspection and we'll confirm the cause, then give you a written Pool Condition Report with photos, our recommendation and a fixed price.
Copied. Paste it into the message box on our enquiry form.
This is a general guide based on what you've told us, not a diagnosis. We confirm everything at your inspection.
Questions
Common questions
Is the checker a diagnosis?
No. It's a general guide based on what you tell it. We confirm the cause and the right fix at your free inspection, and put it in writing in your Pool Condition Report.
Do I need to empty my pool before the inspection?
No. We can assess most problems with the pool full. If you can safely take photos of the problem areas, send them with your enquiry.
Which problems are urgent?
Anything that lets water into the shell: brown patches on a fibreglass pool, osmosis blisters, cracks and leaks. These get more expensive the longer they're left.
